No prior knowledge of Hamiota's history is necessary to participate, BUT
we guarantee you will know more after completing the Challenge.

Ever watched CTV's award winning Amazing Race? Well, Hamiota is about to stage its own version. In our version teams of 4 will visit 7 different historic sites within the town of Hamiota. Navigation should not be difficult as each team will be provided with a town map. Teams may walk, cycle, or drive to these sites. At each site teams will be greeted by an historic figure from the past who will present them with two different Challenges. Teams will choose which of these two historic tasks they will do. Some tasks will require the participation of the whole team, while others will require the participation of only one member of the team. The tasks will be essentially "Brains" or "Brawn" in nature. i.e. essentially something to suit every age of team. When the chosen task has been satisfactorily completed, teams will be given their next clue. Speed is not a factor, completion of the entire challenge is what counts. Every team that completes the challenge is eligible for a prize.
