The Mid-West Art Council office is located in the Heritage Art Centre at 39 Maple Ave.

Mid-West Art Council
promotes the development of art and culture for citizens of all ages within the District. The Council serves a geographical area, which includes the Rural Municipalities of Hamiota, Miniota, Blanschard, Woodworth and the Town of Hamiota. The Arts Council if a non-profit organization operated by a volunteer board. Our Administrative Assistant deals with the day-to-day business of the council, and assists the volunteers in their endeavors.
All residents are entitled to belong, take part in, or actively pursue all Arts Council endeavors.
Mid-West Arts Council provides a forum for performances, art exhibits, workshops and classes. The Council through these forums promotes education and exposure to art. Grass roots development of local artists is also emphasized.
Annual activities, events and programs are:
- Heritage Arts Centre: refurbishing of the Heritage building into a fully viable Arts Centre;
- Workshops: provision of workshops and classes;
- Public Events: performances and concerts for the enjoyment of all ages;
- Sound System Committee: having secured a performance quality system for concerts & performances;
- Exhibits: encouraging the display and exhibition of local and regional artists;
- “Tea at the Bank” a popular fundraising event held every Thursday afternoon, from June through August, in the historic Heritage Arts Centre.
- Coffee House Night where local musicians and singers have the chance to perform to an audience in a "come and go" atmosphere.
