WHAT DOES HEDC DO?
The roles of the Corporation are diverse but are generally within the
following categories:
Business Development Lending:
Micro Lending:
HEDC offers micro lending through the "Community Works Loan Program" to
new businesses and entrepreneurs. The maximum loan value is $10,000 and
flexible repayment terms are available to accommodate new business
starts. Security requirements are also variable such as provision of
subordinated debt loans.
Capital Development Loans:
HEDC also offers larger loans for businesses which require funding from
$ 10,000 to $ 300,000. These are primarily for business expansion and or
relocation.
Industrial Park
HEDC also has available fully serviced lots in an industrial park. Lot
are serviced with three phase electrical power, natural gas, water,
sewer and paved access. Lot prices are negotiable and range up to
$6,500.
Housing and Real Estate
HEDC maintains a "Real Estate Directory" which includes listings of all
available housing for sale or rent. Selected housing lots, in new
housing developments, are available for $1.00 per lot.

Estate Directory from
