Hamiota Community Centre:
Hamiota Community Centre is
situated at 50 - 4th Street.
The facility is available for various functions, either on a one
time basis or regular usage, such as: Hamiota Lions Club
Meetings, Senior Group Card Parties, Floor Shuffle and Carpet
Bowling. Annual events include Ducks Unlimited Banquet &
Auction, Arts Club Tea & Show, Quilt Till You Wilt Group Show,
Kids Club Mall in the Hall. Other uses are birthday parties,
anniversary parties, reunions, funeral lunches, pre-wedding
socials, weddings and receptions, as well as meetings. The
facility underwent a major overhaul in 2005 with the changeover
to geo-thermal heat, the addition of storage facilities and
general redecorating. The Centre is equipped with chairs for 300
people and tables and kitchen dishes for 240 people.
